🙋‍♀️QUESTION:

I.  Is There Really A God? How Can We Know for Sure?

    We Know for Sure God Exists;

1. By Creation

(Psalm 19:1) says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament (heaven) sheweth his handywork.”

The Heavens Are a Miracle

Did you ever look up at the heavens on a dark, clear night and see the wonder and amazement of all the thousands of stars, and to think of the perfect balance and timing of it all! The earth rotates every 24 hours. Every 365 days it completes one revolution. The distance between the earth and sun is exactly what is needed to give us the temperatures we need to thrive on a rock floating in space.

How foolish one would be, in view of the heavens, to say there is no God!

The Earth with All Its’ Life Forms

Nature all around us will tell you there is a God! Stop and consider the millions of life forms and all their complexities. All the different forms of plants, the tremendous variety of birds, animals, insects and fish with all their different colors, sizes, shapes and functions! INCREDIBLE!

Could this have all happened by chance?  Only a fool would think so.  See (Psalm 14: 1)

The Wonder of The Human Mind And Body

The miracle of how every part of our body is designed tells us also that only a God could have created them! The complexity of the cell structure and functions of our skin, blood, bones, muscles and brain are powerful proofs that THERE IS A GOD! Please stop and consider really what chances are there that all this would happen by chance. Our intricate human structure compels us to believe that there must have been a “Master Designer” of our whole being!

2. By Revelation (His Word, the Bible)

We know that God exists because He has revealed Himself to us through His Word, the Holy Bible. In (Genesis 1: 1) we read, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” From Genesis through Revelation the Bible tells us of God’s wonderful love towards us. It tells us what He is like in holiness and purity. It tells us that He is omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere at once), and omnipotent (all powerful). It tells us of His wonderful plan for the future and how He wants us all to be part of His coming kingdom where there will be nothing but joy, righteousness and peace!

Are you ready to look at a small portion of the EVIDENCE that demonstrates the Bible is divine in origin?  If so, take a look at sheet set #1 on the "Foundations Of Faith" page.

🙋‍♂️QUESTION:

II. How Do I Know That the Bible Is God’s Word? Did Not Man Write the Bible?

Yes, man did write down the Words of God that we have in our hands today, but it was God that gave man the Words!

(2 Timothy 3: 16) says, “All scripture is given by INSPIRATION OF GOD...”

(2 Peter 1: 20-21) says, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake AS THEY WERE MOVED BY THE HOLY GHOST.”

We also know the Bible is God’s Word by its accuracy!

1. The Bible Is Historically Accurate.

Historians have testified to the fact that the Bible’s account of history is 100% accurate. They have searched to the finest detail and found to their wonder that the Bible is perfectly accurate.

2. The Bible Is Prophetically Accurate.

Bible prophecy is a powerful subject that would convince any person with even the slightest honesty in their search for the truth of this matter. According to the law of probability, it is literally impossible for all the prophesies of the Bible that have already been fulfilled to their finest detail to have been written by human will or chance. In just the many number of prophesies that were fulfilled at the first coming of the Lord Jesus Christ transcends far beyond reach of just chance!

So many things that are happening today, such as the global increase of wars, famine, pestilence and earthquakes, have been predicted by the Bible.

Other amazing events the Bible foretold are coming to pass right before our eyes like the formation of a one world government with a cashless society along with the rise of homosexuality and moral decline. It also foretold that Israel once again will be a nation in the last days! Israel ceased to be a nation almost 2,600 years ago. It wasn’t till this generation, in 1948, that once again the Jews were back in their land as a recognized nation! Just like the Bible said it would be! AMAZING!

Reading today’s newspaper and studying Bible prophecy is as though you are reading the same thing. In fact, you are!

3. The Bible Is Scientifically Accurate.

True scientific findings back up the Bible 100%!

- Scientists have recently discovered our bodies are made up of the same elements that dirt is made up of.

The Bible has told us this for the past 3,500 years! (Genesis 2: 7) says, “And the Lord God formed man of the DUST OF THE GROUND...”

- Scientists have just recently discovered that there is a huge body of water above us in outer space. The Bible, again, told us this almost 4,000 years ago when Moses wrote down (Genesis 1 :6-8), “And God said, Let there be a firmament (heaven) in the midst of the WATERS, and let it divide the WATERS from the WATERS. And God made the firmament, and divided the WATERS which were under the firmament from the WATERS WHICH WERE ABOVE THE FIRMAMENT: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven...”

- When the “Black Plague” hit England just in our last century, medical science figured out the main cause was due to the transfer of germs by doctors washing their hands in bowls with stagnant water rather than RUNNING water.

The Bible has said for thousands of years to use RUNNING water; (Leviticus 15:13), “And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing; and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in RUNNING WATER, and he shall be clean.”

- It was not till 1492 AD that Columbus discovered that the world was ROUND.

Yet the Bible told us LONG before Columbus was born that the earth has the shape of a CIRCLE!

(Isaiah 40: 22), “It is he that sitteth upon the CIRCLE OF THE EARTH...”

And that the earth does not “sit on the back of a huge turtle” like man once imagined, but rather that it hangs upon NOTHING as taught in the book of (Job);

(Job 26: 7), “He (God)…hangeth the earth upon nothing.

4.  The Bible Is Socially Accurate.

- (Matthew 22: 39) = Love thy neighbor as thyself.

- (Exodus 20:1-17) = Don't kill, steal, bear false witness, or covet thy neighbors’ goods. Honour your father and mother in the Lord. Do not commit adultery.

- (Ephesians 5: 22-25) = Wives, love your husbands, and husbands, love your wives.

- (Ephesians 6: 1-2) = Children, obey your parents in the Lord.

- (Romans 13: 1-7) = Respect government. Government is to be a help to the people in all honesty.

- (Matthew 25: 34-40) = Help out the poor, but the poor are to be responsible also to do their best

Please read (2 Thessalonians 3: 6-12).

Wow! What a wonderful place our homes, cities and nation would be! No more killing, murder, rape, kidnapping, theft or racism! The Bible is socially ACCURATE!

With all this powerful proof, no wonder so many believe that THE BIBLE IS GOD’S WORD AND INSPIRED BY GOD HIMSELF!

 🙋‍♀️QUESTION:

III. Doesn’t the Bible Have Mistakes in It?

Some have actually believed that the Bible has errors, but when asked to show us them, they become very embarrassed because they cannot. In fact, most who believe this have never picked up a Bible and read it!

🙋‍♂️QUESTION:

IV. Isn’t Everybody a Child of God? Don’t We All Believe in the Same God?

We are all of God’s creation but not all are the children of God. You become a child of God by being “born again”, by having faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and sacrifice for your sins.

Jesus said in (John 3: 3), “…Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

-Not everyone is born again.

(Galatians 3:26) says “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

-Not everyone has real genuine faith in Christ Jesus.

(John 1: 12) says, “But as many as received him (received Jesus Christ into your heart for forgiveness of sin), to them (those who receive Christ) gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his (Jesus) name:”

-Not everyone has received Christ into their heart.

Jesus tells the priests in (John 8: 44) who were out to kill Him, Ye are of your father the devil.”

So not everyone is a child of God.

🙋‍♀️QUESTION:

V. I’m Doing the Best I Can. I’m A Good Person. Won’t God Accept Me?"

God does not accept anyone based on their good works or deeds, but rather He accepts them only on their FAITH in Him.

(Ephesians 2: 8-9), “For BY GRACE are ye saved THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES: (not by your good deeds), it is the gift of God: NOT_QF WORKS, lest any man should boast.”

On the other hand, God does not accept someone who has a phony or shallow belief. A true belief in Christ will cause change in your life. If you say you believe but still condone sin in your life continually and that there was never a real true change from sin to righteousness, your faith is a dead faith and cannot save you.

(James 2:14,17,18,26), “What doth it profit my brethren, though a man say he hath faith and have not works? Can faith save him? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, BEING ALONE. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

🙋‍♂️QUESTION:

VI. I Have Already Asked Jesus to Forgive Me and Be My Savior But I Am Not Really Living Like I Should. Am I Still Going to Heaven? Am I Not Sealed by God’s Spirit?

A person can begin in Christ with a true genuine faith, but if you fall away from the faith you have in the Lord and His Word (which will be evident by the absence of obedience to Christ and God’s Word), and remain in unbelief, you will not go to Heaven.

(Hebrews 12: 14-15), “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, WITHOUT WHICH NO MAN SHALL SEE THE LORD: Looking diligently lest ANY man FAIL OF THE GRACE OF GOD...”

(1 Corinthians 11: 30-32), “...But when we are judged, (because of sin in our lives) we are chastened of the Lord (to bring us back to a life of faith that produces holiness through obedience) THAT WE (Christians) SHOULD NOT BE CONDEMNED WITH THE WORLD.” (and according to God’s Word in (1 John 2: 15-17) and (James 4: 4), the world is under the wrath of God and headed for hell.)

(1 John 2: 3,4,24), “And hereby we do know that we know him, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, IS A LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM…Let that therefore abide (remain) in you, which ye have heard from the beginning (the Word of God). IF that which ye have heard from the beginning SHALL REMAIN IN YOU, ye also shall CONTINUE in the Son and in the Father.”

🙋‍♀️QUESTION:

VII. It’s Too Late! I Do Not Feel Worthy of God’s Love. How Could God Love and Forgive a Sinner Like Me?

Paul the apostle, before he received Christ as his Saviour, had Christians killed for their faith and trust in Jesus. But even he was able to be forgiven and became a child of God.

(1 Timothy 1: 15), “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world TO SAVE SINNERS; OF WHOM I AM CHIEF.”

Another good example is the thief on the cross.

(Luke 23: 42-43), “And he (the thief) said unto Jesus,

Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”

Look at what Christ said for those who actually drove the nails through His hands and feet!

(Luke 23: 34), “...Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...”

🙋‍♂️QUESTION:

VIII. I Am Still Young and Have Plenty of Time. Don’t I?

The Bible says in (Proverbs 27: 1), “Boast not thyself of TOMORROW; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.”

You do not know that you will be alive tomorrow!

(2 Corinthians 6: 2) says, “...behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.”

Look what Jesus said about a man who thought he had many years ahead of him.

(Luke 12: 19-20), “And I (the rich man) will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up FOR MANY YEARS; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, THOU FOOL, THIS NIGHT THY SOUL SHALL BE REQUIRED OF THEE: Then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?”

🙋‍♀️QUESTION:

IX. I’m A Catholic / Baptist / Methodist / etc, etc.

God is not concerned what you call yourself or what “labels” you use. What He is concerned about is whether you have His Son and His Word IN YOUR HEART.

(1 John 5: 11-13), “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

(John 3: 36), “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

(Romans 10: 9), “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE IN THINE HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

(John 8 51), “Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep (in your heart) my saying, (the Word of God) he shall never see death.”

🙋‍♂️QUESTION:

X.  Are Heaven and Hell Real?

Jesus tells us that both are real, literal places!

(Matthew 11: 23), “And thou, Capernaum, which are exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell...”

(Luke 16: 23-24), “And in hell he (the rich man) lift up his eyes being in torments, and...cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”

(Matthew 5: 12), “Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven...”

(Luke 15: 7), “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth...”

🙋‍♀️QUESTION:

XI. I Do Not Believe God Would Send Anyone To Hell.

    Does He?

God has no desire to cast anyone to hell.

(2 Peter 3: 9), “The Lord is...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

His concern that none should perish is so strong, that He allowed Himself to be crucified for us. But if one rejects the Lord Jesus Christ and refuses to have faith in God’s Word, He, as a righteous judge, has no choice.

(Revelation 20: 15), “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

(John 8: 24), “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”

(Psalm 9: 17), “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”

🙋‍♂️QUESTION:

XII. What About All the Hypocrites in the Church?

Hypocrites will have to give an account for themselves just like you will have to give an account for yourself. God will not accept anyone using others as an excuse for not doing God’s will in their life. Love and obey God with all your heart that you may be able to warn and help those living in constant hypocrisy.

(Matthew 7: 3-5), “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? ... Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”

🙋‍♀️QUESTION:

XIII. I Cannot Become A Christian Because My Family

Will Reject Me. Won’t God Understand?

Jesus says in (Matthew 10: 37), “He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”

🙋‍♂️QUESTION:

XIV. Is Christ Really Coming Again? Will It Be Soon?

Jesus promised that He will return!

(John 14: 2-3), “...I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where. I am, there ye may be also.”

(1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17), “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ (those whose bodies are in the grave) shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain (at the coming of the Lord) shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

We also know that His coming is near by the events that are taking place all around us. Jesus said in Matthew 24 that just before His coming, there will be a great increase in wars, famine, pestilence and earthquakes. All over the earth we see an increase in these, NOW, in our generation like never before!

Jesus said in the last days there will be a great decline in morality like in the days of Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah where homosexuality will be a common practice. Even five years ago, we have never seen anything like we are seeing TODAY with the homosexual movement!

Jesus said in the last days, Israel will be a nation once again. Historians once believed it to be impossible. Israel ceased to be a nation over 2,500 years ago and they said it is impossible for it to be a nation again. They do not doubt this anymore. Since 1948AD, Israel has been declared a nation once again, just like Jesus said it would be in the last days in Matthew 24!

There is so much more to say on this subject, but space does not permit us for now.

🙋‍♀️QUESTION:

XV. Can I Know for Sure That I Am Going to Heaven?

YES! DEFINITELY!

The Bible tells us that we can know for sure that we are going to heaven by;

- Beginning In Christ

- Continuing In Christ

1. Beginning in Christ

(2 Corinthians 6: 2), “...behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the DAY of salvation.”

You begin in Christ by;

a) Admitting you are a lost sinner in need of salvation.

Please read (Romans 3: 10,23) and also (Luke 19: 10)

b) Believing with all your heart that Jesus is the Lord (God manifest in the flesh) that came to shed His blood and be your sacrifice on the cross and that He rose from the dead and is able to save you from sin and hell.

(Acts 8: 36-37; 16: 30-31); (Romans 10: 9-13)

c) Repent by;

1) Feeling truly sorry for the sins you have committed.

2) Have a true, genuine desire to want to turn away from these sins and not commit them   again.

3) Ask God right now to forgive you of all the sins (whether “big or small”) that you ever committed.

Jesus said in (Luke 13: 3), “..except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

d) Receive Christ right now by faith to come into your heart.

                     (John 1:12) (Romans 10: 13) (Revelation 3:20)

e) Thank the Lord with joy and gladness for saving you, forgiving you and for coming into your heart!

Below is an example of a prayer you might want to say;

“Dear Lord, right here and now I confess to you that I am a sinner and need you so much because you are the only one who could save me from my sin. I believe with ALL my heart that you died on the cross for me to shed your blood for the forgiveness of my sins and that you rose from the dead and are in heaven now. Please forgive me of all my sins and help me to never commit them again. I ask you Lord Jesus to, please, right now, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for answering my prayer!”

2. Continuing In Christ

We can know for sure we are going to heaven by CONTINUING IN CHRIST. Once you have begun in Christ, continue in Him by;

a) Keeping God’s Word in Your Heart.

(John 8: 51) (1 John2: 24-25) (Luke 8: 15)

(1 Corinthians 15: 1-2)

b) Show Your Faith by Good Works;

1) Join a local Bible believing Church where the Bible is PROPERLY taught.

2) Get baptized as soon as possible by immersion, not sprinkling.

(Acts 2: 38) (Acts 8: 36-39)

(Matthew 28: 19-20)

3) Keep the commandments that our Lord has given us.

(1 John 2: 3-5); (Galatians 5: 19-21) (Hebrews 12:14-15)

4) Tell others about the great things Christ has done for you and how they need to be saved.

(Matthew 10: 32) (Luke 8: 38-39)

                                 (Acts 1: 8) (2 Timothy 2: 12)

🙋‍♂️QUESTION:

XVI. There Are Many Churches; What Church Should I Attend?

 Attend a church that hits all of these 7 points;

1. Teaches that the Bible is the only authority on all matters of faith and practice, and does not add or take away from the 66 books of God's inspired and confirmed Bible.  (Psalm 138: 2) (Psalm 12: 6-7) (Proverbs 30: 6)

                        2. Believes God is a trinity. (1 John 5: 7); (Matthew 28: 19)

            3. Uplifts Jesus Christ as God. (John 1: 1-3, 14) (Isaiah 9: 6-7) (John 20:27-28)

4. Teaches salvation is by God’s grace through faith, through a child like faith that is to continue in our heart and that it is not by the works of the law, but rather by a FAITH that produces good works in us. (See questions 5,6,15)

5. Shows a real love for the Lord Jesus Christ and for each other.  (Matthew 22: 36-39) (John 13: 35)

6. Is evangelistic in that they encouraging its members to tell others about Christ and to be involved in supporting evangelism to save the lost.  (Acts 1: 8) (2 Timothy 4: 5) (Mark 16: 15)

7. Is confirmed to you by God, as a church hat does follow these summary points, and is His will for your life. (John 16: 13) (Isaiah 30: 21) (Psalms 32:8)

🙋‍♂️QUESTION:

XVII. How will I recognize when Jesus Christ returns to earth the second time? What are the "Signs of the Times"? What is the book of Revelation say?

As outlines in the "Born Again Next Steps" and also in the "Bible" page, we always recommend a person starts off my reading the 4 Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, then Acts and Romans, then through the full new testament in the order it is presented.  When done this way, that hearing of God's Word will often empower a person to understand the deeper things in Revelation.  When you reach the book of Revelation (the very last book in the Bible), then we suggest using an overview such as this one here in the below button.  It will serve as a road map as you are reading the Word of God.

In the below document is a summary of the Book of Revelation.  It also includes an audio recording of the main portion being preached in a sermon.  That sermon includes a reading of the document, but also a full description of HOW and WHY we should apply this book of the Bible to our lives!
